Biography:
Maya was born in Israel at 1993 and started playing the violin at the age of 6. After attending High school of the arts she pursued her violin studies at the Tel Aviv “Buchman Mehta” Music Academy with prof. Hagai Shaham, Lena Mazor and Lilach Levanon. Maya had participated in festivals such as Seiji Ozawa Academy, the International “Musethica” chamber music festival, “ISA” masterclasses, “Keshet Eylon Mastercourse”, the “Mendelssohn Summer School Festival” in Hamburg, “Iclassical Academy” in Italy and “Musica Mundi” festival in Belgium. Maya has won the America – Israel Foundation Scholarship “in Distinction” Category, and has received the Foundation’s esteemed scholarship designated especially for studies abroad.
Since Maya began her viola studies, she has won the honorable Aviv competition prize for Viola, awarded by Rachel and David Gotesman. Maya has also received the 2nd prize of the Buchman Mehta Music Academy strings international competition and has performed as a soloist with Webern Kammerphilharmonie, Slovakia Radio Symphonie and became a member of the Divan West-Eastern Orchestra. Maya Graduated her Bachelor studied from the University of Music and Theatre “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” Leipzig with Prof. Tatjana Masurenko and now continues her studies in Germany completing her Masters with Prof. Tabea Zimmermann at the Hanns Eisler Hochschule in Berlin.
