Biography:
Jelena Antić, born in 1999, began her studies in October 2020 at the Hochschule für Musik “Hanns Eisler” in Berlin under the tuition of Tabea Zimmermann and German Tcakulov. She started her musical education at the age of eight playing the violin at the School for Musically Gifted Children in Ćuprija, after which she switched to viola at the age of 13. Her higher education began at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, but soon after she moved to Dresden and finally ended up in Berlin. Jelena is passionate about teaching, playing in orchestras, as well as in chamber music ensembles. She has won numerous awards as a soloist on the violin, viola, piano, as well as in chamber music ensembles and as an orchestra player. She has been involved in many orchestras in Germany, Serbia, Luxembourg, Italy etc. Since January 2022 she is an active substitute player in Dresdner Philharmonie and in July 2022, she won the position of Principal Viola in Orchestra National des Jeunes du Luxembourg.
