Biography:

Luisa Ye, born in 2006 in Frankfurt am Main, started playing the violin at the age of 5 and switched to the viola at the age of 13. She won several first prices with both instruments at the competition “Jugend Musiziert” as soloist and chamber musician as well as at the “Mendelssohn-Competition” Rhein-Main. In June 2022, she received the first price at national level of the “Jugend Musiziert” competition (viola solo).

In the beginning of the same year, she started studying with Liisa Randalu. When she was accepted to the Yong Academy of the “Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst” in Frankfurt, she first studied with Prof. Lars Anders Tomter. Since 2023, Luisa has the great opportunity to study with Prof. Tabea Zimmermann.

Moreover, she gained experiences in chamber music by participating at the masterclass “Mit Musik – Miteinander” in Kronberg in April 2022 and by attending chamber music lessons with the “Aris-Quartett“. She is a member of the “Landesjugendsinfonieorchester Hessen” (since 2021) and of the National Youth Orchestra “Bundesjugendorchester” (since 2022).
